// IN THIS TOGETHER //
Hey Hope Family,
We wanted to update everyone on where we now stand with the current COVID-19 outbreak. As I'm sure you've seen, the Government has outlined that those in the 'AT RISK' category should keep well clear of social groups and isolate as much as possible.
The 'AT RISK' group has been detailed as follows:
- Aged 70 or over (Regardless of medical condition)
- Under 70 with an underlying medical condition (ie. anyone instructed to get a flu jab as an adult each year on medical grounds)
- Those who are pregnant
As a Church we love getting together and worshipping, simply doing as the Bible has called us to do, unfortunately this is going to have to be limited for a short time. So we are asking that if you fall into any of the above categories you need to adhere to what the Government is saying and avoid contact with people, including coming along to Church. This is for your protection and the Church’s wellbeing on a whole.
This doesn't mean you're on your own! We are here and in this together as a family, here's what we're going to do:
Sundays // There will inevitably be a reduced number and as such certain guidelines will need to be adhered to. We will only have the Family service at 11am for the coming weeks when we will endeavour to break bread together within that service.
Tuesdays // will look a little different for everyone's safety. We will be running a take-away kitchen where people can grab a sandwich some crisps, soup and a hot drink from the door. This will be take away only but still means we can continue to meet a need in Gainsborough.
Wednesdays // Bible Study will be available via FB Messenger, Whats-App or Email, whatever is your preference. We won't be meeting together in the building.
Thursdays // Youth will be postponed for the time being. We don't have to remind the Youth that they can socialise via technology!
Fridays // Hi5 will be postponed for the time being.
Also we would ask, any and all of us who are able, to keep in contact with oneanother via the various networks that are available to us. But we want to go one step further than this. We understand that groceries still need to be bought, prescriptions still need collecting and errands may still need to be run for those who are in the 'AT RISK' category.
Get in touch with us if you need our help!
We want to continue as a Church outside of the 4 walls we call our earthly home - God has been directing us in this over the years and now is the time to live it! We can use this short-term outbreak to build solid relationships, show love and kindness in ways that aren’t usually possible and show the world around us that nothing will stop Gods work here on earth!
Please keep praying and Keep in touch.
Remember we worship a God who is in control, who cannot and will not be shaken, He is the Alpha and Omega and we are in His hands –
Hebrews 13v8 says: Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
